WhatsApp May Soon Allow Users to Introduce Images in Polls to Make it Interesting

WhatsApp may soon allow users to add images to polls to make them engaging for users. Here’s how it will work.

Meta-owned WhatsApp is currently developing a new feature to make polls more interesting and useful for its users. By attaching pictures to the polls, voters will get a visual representation of each option, making it easier for them to evaluate the options and make informed decisions.

According to a report by WhatsApp’s update tracking website, WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is developing a feature that lets users create polls on the application with images, thus providing further clarity. For example, polls for holiday destinations with images added to them will allow voters to assess their options and cast their votes.

The report on the official website of WABetaInfo said, “It appears WhatsApp is continuing to enhance the polls feature by developing new options to further boost engagement. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.1.17 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature to assign photos to poll options in channels.”

“This gradual rollout ensures that the feature is optimized and feedback from channel owners and participants is taken into account before a possible broader implementation,” the report said. As of now, this feature is under development and will be available in a future update.

The report also suggested that if users add a photo to one poll option, they need to add images to all the other options too. This is important to keep the poll consistent and ensure that all options are represented equally.

Initially, the feature will be exclusive to channels to observe and refine the feature before expanding it to group chats and individual chats in the coming times.
